Vancouver General Hospital
A multi-faceted facility operated by Vancouver Coastal Health, Vancouver General Hospital (telephone 604 875-4111) has 955 beds ( and is growing) in several buildings, and offers many specialized services to Vancouverites and people from around B.C.
It is affiliated with the University of British Columbia and is a teaching hospital. Although general quiet time daily is from 10:30 pm to 6:00 am, visiting hours vary, so specific hours must be checked for each unit.
The Centennial Pavilion is located at 855 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver, BC, V5Z 1N1. The Jimmy Pattison Pavilion (899 West 12th Ave) and Emergency Department is to be found at 920 West 10th Avenue.
The Health Center, Eye Care Center, the Research Pavilion, the Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Center, and the Banfield Pavilion are all located nearby. The Emergency entrance off 10th Avenue is fully wheelchair accessible.
Across from the Jim Pattison Pavilion’s main entrance, at the corner of West 12th Avenue and Laurel Street, there is a multi-level paid parkade.
