Fire Hall #8 is on Hamilton Street and the Community Policing Center for Granville Downtown South is close at hand on Granville Street. Medical and optical services can be found nearby.

The residents of Yaletown are largely young urban singles (mid 20’s – mid 40’s), and families. A high percentage of the population has post secondary education. These youthful professionals have, on average, household earnings upward of $80,000. The Yaletown neighborhood is comprised of over 12,000 persons enjoying this mid – upper middle income. The area’s dense housing is distinctly downtown urban, 98% being composed of high-rise apartment blocks as well as low-rise residential dwellings and office/retail locations. General Location:

Situated in the south-eastern portion of Vancouver’s downtown district, Yaletown is bordered by False Creek North, Homer or perhaps Granville streets in the west while Robson Street forms a natural boundary to the north.

Major Transportation Arteries:

Expo and Pacific Boulevards and Davie Street provide significant access to and movement through Yaletown, with Robson Street skirting the northern edge of the area. Both public transit and individual motor vehicles use these through fares. The rapid transit Canada Line station can be found on Davie Street at Mainland. False Creek Ferries and the Aqua bus both run passenger service to Granville Island, Science World and other spots along False Creek right from the dock of the Yaletown Marina.
